Wrapping it up

Wrapping it up
Christmas is a busy time for everyone. With all the shopping, parties and family get together; the holidays fly by and before you know it your left with your house feeling upside down. Here are a few helpful ideas to get your home back in order
- Don’t forget to recycle what you can! All those cardboard boxes can be recycled in most communities. Remember to break everything down as much as possible. Less bags less garbage. Unused paper and sturdy boxes can be kept for next year. Store them in a bigger box or bag. Saves you money next year and keeps them out of the landfill.
- Got a lot of new clothes? Go through your closet and see if you can donate some of your old clothes.
- With the kids, go through their old toys. Throw away any broken or toys with missing piece. Have your child pick out a few toys they no longer play with and explain to them that other kids may not have got the things they did this year.
- Shoe boxes make great storage for tree ornaments. Label the boxes so things are easy to find next year.
- Lights, both indoor and out door can be a handful. Try using an empty paper towel roll to wrap lights around and keep them together.
- Find out if there is a special pick up day for real trees. Make sure to tie loose branches for both easy clean up and for the garbage men. Wearing gloves may be a good idea, keeps your hands from getting cut and sticky.
- For any remaining decorations create a game for the kids to see who can bring you the most.
- Remember to store all boxes in a dry area to avoid any water damage.

I think this write up was really a solid kick off to a potential series of blog posts about this topic. So many bloggers act like they understand what they are talking about when it comes to this topic and really, hardly anyone actually get it. You seem to know about it however, so I think you need to run with it. Thank you!
